Race & Education Panel Discussion December 18th

New Path and The Memphis Urban League will bring their 2008 Race Relations & Memphis panel series to a close, with a final forum on Race & Education.  On Thursday, December 18, 2008, join panelists Susanne Jackson (Citizen analyst), Katie Stanton (SCEA), Daniel Kiel (University of Memphis), Tom Jones (Smart City Consulting), and Charles McKinney (Rhodes College) to discuss the impacts of race on school choice, desegregation, and the quality of education.  Roblin Webb (Freedom Preparatory Academy) will moderate.

The event will be held from 6pm-8pm at the Ben Hooks Central Library (3030 Poplar Ave.) in meeting room C.  Race & Education is the fourth forum in this ground-breaking series to foster improved race relations in Memphis & Shelby County, and provide an in-depth look at related factors.
